Hello and welcome — I’m so glad you’re here.

My name is Ashleigh, I’m 38 years old and a proud mum to three beautiful children. We live in a gorgeous village just outside Maidstone, Kent, which I’m lucky to call home.

I began my hairdressing career at just 16 years old, and in 2014 I founded Ashleigh Bunting Hair when I needed something more flexible around family life. What started as a practical decision soon grew into something far more meaningful.

Around seven years ago, I discovered my true passion — bridal hair. From that moment on, I knew I had found my calling.

I am incredibly proud of how far my business has come. What began as “just a job” has grown into a genuine love and passion — and a multi-award-winning bridal hair business.

To date, I have won eight industry awards, each one meaning so much to me. In 2022, I achieved something I never dreamed possible, taking home three awards in one year. Alongside winning the Kent Wedding Awards, I was also honoured with both the Regional and National titles at The Wedding Business Awards — an experience I’ll always be grateful for.

Also in December 2023, I was awarded Best Bridal Hairstylist at the Beauty and Aesthetics Awards — a UK-wide national award, not regional — which still feels surreal!

I returned as a finalist in 2024 and was awarded Highly Commended at the Kent Wedding Awards, competing against eight extremely talented hairstylists — something I truly didn’t expect and feel very proud of.

In 2024, rather than entering the Kent Wedding Awards, I was invited to be a judge — a huge honour and an incredible recognition of my expertise within the industry.

I am also a Hitched Recommended Supplier, with over 60 five-star reviews, and a three-time Hitched Award winner. These awards are based purely on feedback from my real brides, which makes them especially meaningful to me.

I feel incredibly lucky to have a career that I truly love, that I am deeply passionate about, and that fits so beautifully around my family life. Being a bridal hairstylist allows me to make people feel confident, beautiful, and happy on one of the most important days of their lives — and that is something I never take for granted.

Continued education is very important to me. I regularly attend advanced bridal hairstyling training to ensure my skills, techniques, and creativity are always evolving and at the highest standard.

Looking ahead to 2026, I have exciting plans for my bridal hair business, including building my own Bridal Hair Team, and I can’t wait to share that journey with you.
