Hello lovely bride-to-be — and congratulations on your engagement!
If you’re starting to think about your bridal hair, you’ve probably heard the term “hair trial” and wondered what actually happens… and whether you even need one.
I completely understand — planning a wedding comes with a lot of decisions, and my job is to make this part feel exciting, relaxed, and completely stress-free.
So, here’s exactly what you can expect from your bridal hair trial with me.
First Things First — Your Trial Is All About You
Your bridal hair trial is our chance to meet properly, chat through your ideas, and start bringing your vision to life.
We’ll talk about:
- Your wedding dress and overall style
- Your venue and theme
- Your makeup plans
- Your flowers and accessories
All of these little details help me design a hairstyle that perfectly complements your entire look, not just your hair on its own
Think of it as the beginning of your bridal hair journey — not something to feel nervous about.
Trying Different Styles (Without the Pressure)
I always allow around 2 hours for your trial, so we have plenty of time to explore different looks together
You’re very welcome to bring inspiration photos — but don’t worry if you’re unsure what you want. That’s completely normal!
Some brides come in with a clear vision, others have no idea at all… and both are absolutely fine.
I’ll guide you through what will:
- Suit your face shape
- Work with your hair type
- Last all day (and evening!)
- Fit your wedding style
And if something doesn’t quite work, I’ll always be honest — because my priority is making sure you feel your absolute best.
Bring Your Accessories Along
If you’ve already chosen your veil or hair accessories, bring them with you!
This helps us:
- See the full finished look
- Make sure everything fits and feels secure
- Adjust the style if needed
It’s often these finishing touches that really bring everything together.
We’ll Finalise Your Wedding Morning Plan
Your trial isn’t just about the hairstyle — it’s also about making sure your wedding morning runs smoothly.
We’ll go through:
- Timings for you and your bridal party
- When everyone needs to be ready
- How the morning will flow
I always aim to have everyone ready with plenty of time before your ceremony, so you can relax and actually enjoy those special moments
(And yes… I will absolutely help keep everyone on schedule if things get a little chaotic!)
Do You Need a Bridal Hair Trial?
Technically, a trial isn’t essential… but I would always recommend having one.
Why?
Because it means:
- You feel confident and excited about your look
- There are no last-minute surprises
- Your wedding morning feels calm and seamless
And most importantly — you’ll walk into your wedding day knowing exactly how everything will come together.
A Little Tip From Me
Come to your trial with clean, dry hair and an open mind.
Sometimes the style you think you want isn’t the one you fall in love with — and that’s completely part of the process.
Let’s Create Your Dream Bridal Hair
Your bridal hair trial is such a special part of your wedding journey, and I truly love being part of that with my brides.
From the moment you book with me, I’ll be there to guide you every step of the way — making sure you feel confident, relaxed, and completely looked after.
